This 1965 Chevrolet Impala remained with the family of its original owner in Ontario Canada until 1994. After changing owners a few times, the convertible was "exported" to Alberta in 2016; passing provincial inspection after a few minor repairs. The current owner purchased the car in 2017 at 13,800 miles. Though the car's Ontario DMV records shows the progressive mileage, maintenance or repair documentation does not exist prior to 2016. Though it has all the signs of being a very low mile original car, actual mileage cannot be proven.
The car is finished in Regal Red paint (repainted due to fading 20 years ago) with a white power convertible top (replaced same time) over a Gunmetal black vinyl interior. While the carpet shows signs of slight fading, the seats and door panels are like new. The original 283 cid V8 is paired with a two-speed Powerglide automatic transmission, said to have been rebuilt at around 8,000 miles.
Additional features include polished American Racing wheels, front and rear bench seats, Delco AM radio and clock. A 1965 Impala owner’s manual, warranty book, shop manual and other original period literature all remain in near mint condition.
The Impala is economical to drive - reliable with over 20 mpg at 70 mph; ready to drive cross country again and again.
